Fun Run Saturday's

Team Anna Marie is going to start doing fun runs. This is just a time to get out and have fun running in the community with each other. The best part is its FREE!! One thing that I learned in the 15K is when you have someone running with you, it helps keep you motivated. My motivation in the 15K was certainly Anna Marie, but when it was time to really dig in and find that inner strength (around mile 7 for me), I ran with a guy who kept me motivated the rest of the way. We fed off each other and ran the rest of the way together. In the pictures of the PTC 15K, you can see him in the yellow shirt behind me (I took off sprinting towards the finish line). Now I am training for a half marathon and I want to turn motivation into promoting a healthy, fun lifestyle. So please consider joining me in the fun runs. We will be doing 5K's and 10K's. Next Event on the Calender - The Weather Channel Atlanta Thanksgiving Day Marathon and Half Marathon

The next major event on the calender for Team Anna Marie is the Weather Channel Atlanta Thanksgiving Day Marathon!! I will post the athletes running this event later because frankly I need a head count. Some exciting things have happened here lately and we have jumped from 8 athletes to about 20 athletes in a couple of days!! Thank you for your participation! Once I get things sorted out and names I will list all the athlete roster, and once I figure out who all is running the Thanksgiving Day Marathon I will post. Right now Mark Dingess, Daniel Worthington and Michael Bowen are running the Half Marathon.

If you would like to volunteer for this event to pass out fliers, sell stickers and shirts and raise awareness, we need you more than ever. There will be thousands of people at this event, so please consider helping.

Pictures from the PTC 15K

We had a great time and I wanted to share with you some pictures from our race.

First Event was a success!!

Just wanted to let you know that Team Anna Marie finished its first event today. Myself and Keith Craddock ran the Peachtree City Classic 15K today. It was a very fun 9.3 mile run through Peachtree City. We represented Team Anna Marie well and had some great volunteers come and pass out fliers. It was a great time and I am looking forward to the Atlanta Thanksgiving Day Marathon in a month. We will be running it, the majority of us will do the Half Marathon (13.1 miles).

Once again, please keep in mind that we have shirts, the same as our athletes wear, for $15 and Team Anna Marie team stickers for just $2. Wear the shirt around or put the Team sticker on your car and show people who we are. If you want to see what the shirts or stickers look like, go to teamannamarie.blogspot.com. All the proceeds go to help Anna get treatment. This is also the opportunity for you to get involved in an athletic team from the ground up. We are really booming now with over 10 athletes doing running events and triathalons.

Volunteers needed for PTC 15K.

If you are available to come to Peachtree City on Saturday morning from about 7:30am-11:30am, then we could really use you. Mark Dingess and Keith Craddock will be running it. We need to get the word out about Team Anna Marie and need people passing out fliers and selling stickers and T-shirts. So if you think you can help, we really really need you!! Welcome to our Newest Athlete!!

The Team Anna Marie Family would like to welcome our newest athlete, Daniel Worthington. Daniel will be participating in running. His goal is to run the Atlanta Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon. He was going to participate in the PTC 15K, but due to an injury was unable to. But he will be back in full force for the Half Marathon. Welcome Daniel, we are happy to have you on the team.

Saturday October 18th is the Peachtree City 15K

Hey Team,

This Saturday, Oct 18th, two athletes of Team Anna Marie will be participating in the Peachtree City Classic 15K. Please come out and support the team. This is our first outing. Keith Craddock and Mark Dingess will be running this race starting at 8:30 am.

Stickers are ordered and will be here Wednesday. If you would like to order one please click on donate button and make a donation in that amount, then send me an email that tells me you bought a sticker and where I need to ship it. If you know us or go to church with us, I will personally give them to you next time I see you. Put these stickers on your car and show your team spirit for Team Anna Marie!!

T-Shirts are still available!!

Just because the Car Show is over, doesn't mean we are out of T-Shirts. Team Anna Marie will constantly have T-Shirts. We are currently working to put up an online store and hope to have that soon. If you'd like a T-Shirt, please contact me at markdingess@gmail.com. Also, if you would like, make a donation (there is a button on the left side of this page) and we will send you a shirt, but make sure you email me and tell me the donation was for the purchase of a T-Shirt. I will then contact you to verify your address and will ship it to you. The cost of the shirt is $15 plus $6 for shipping costs, if we have to ship it to you. Please understand that we have not marked these shirts up a lot and therefore can't include shipping costs in the price of a shirt because we're not making a lot of money off of them. Anna's Car Show was a smashing success. There were a few minor glitches here and there. Primarily with us getting the judges all there to start the judging, but I take responsibility for that. I apologize to the car show participants. I was getting pulled 30 different directions all day. I didn't even eat until about 9 that night. A big thank you to everyone that came out and helped to support Anna Marie. A big thank you to Vendetta Pizza Cafe for hosting the show. A big thank you to all the volunteers, from parking, manning the booths, musicians, judges and anyone else who was involved THANK YOU, we couldn't have done it without you. William and Mae (Spelling?) Thank you so much. JT, Thank you so much. All the sponsors, Thank you so much. All the people that showed up, Thank you so much and finally to Anna Marie, you are the greatest daughter in the world and I am so proud of you.

The Car Show is upon us

Remember, Anna Marie's Car Show is today at Vendetta Pizza Cafe at 1170 HWY 155 South McDonough. Directions are real simple, It is on the Griffin side of the interstate, past the Krystal and Bellamy Strickland Collission Center on the right. Please come out and show your support for Anna Marie. Even if you can't attend the car show, please consider eating there because we get a portion of the proceeds.

It will be a lot of fun with inflatable jumpers, silents auctions, raffles, food, live entertainment, cars (one is worth $750,000) and of course fun. You can pick up a shirt, while your there for only $15. We hope to see you there
