Anna Marie's Car Show needs Volunteers this Sunday!!

This Sunday, at Vendetta's Pizza 1170 Hwy 155 South McDonough, GA 30253, is Vendetta's Fundraising Car Show for Anna Marie!! They have been planning it for a long time and we hope it will be a success. We aplogize it is on a Sunday, as many of you know, if the church doors are open then we are there, but this is the only day they could use the entire parking lot. The other stores in the strip mall are open Monday through Saturday and so the only day they can do it is Sunday. We need a minimum staff of about 24 volunteers. We need 4 for registration, 4 more traffic, 2 for inflatable toys watching, 6 judges for the cars (you must be at least semi experienced with cars), 3 for security, and 4 to sell raffle tickets. Now this is the bare minimum, so the more, the merrier. The car show is open to the public from 12pm-6pm. We need all volunteers there by 10:30 am, due to the fact that cars will start coming in and registering starting at 11 am and we need to have a group meeting at about 10:35 am to get people on the same sheet of paper. More Team Anna Marie Athletes

We would like to welcome 2 more new athletes to Team Anna Marie.

Michael Bowen is coming to the team to run. He will be participating in some running events including the Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon in Atlanta on Thanksgiving Day. Michael also has experiences putting together runs and has put together 5K's in his hometown of Charlotte, NC. So he has offered to help spearhead a local run. More details to follow on this fun upcoming run to benefit Anna Marie.

Nick Spletstoser is coming on to participate as our very first triathalon athlete. In Jun 09, he will be participating in the Lake Lanier Triathalon and potentially another one in the same month.

Thank you to our athletes, we now have 4 members of Team Anna Marie. We have 3 runners and 1 doing a triathalon. If your interested in participating as an athlete, volunteer to pass out fliers at events, a fan, or in some other capacity then we would love to have you. Today, we generated some interest in helping to run for Team Anna Marie. Keith Craddock will be joining the team running in the Peachtree City Classic for Team Anna Marie.

Also, Lotta Recor is joining the team. She is currently training for a Marathon in Sweden. She will compete in May 09.

This is your chance to become a Fan from the Ground Floor

Welcome to the new launch of Team Anna Marie. Our mission is simple and that is "To raise awareness of Anna Marie Dingess and Pseudotumor Cerebri through athletics". Inspired by Team Hoyt, our goal is to compete in any athletic event that we have athletes for to help and raise awareness and solicit donations for Anna Marie's treatment. Become a volunteer today! We need people to "beat the streets" in a figurative way and let people know about Team Anna Marie. We need athletes to help spread the word, by wearing team shirts and becoming a member of the team. If you know of an athlete who may be interested, please let me know. We need people to go to these same events that our athletes are participating in and spread fliers, talk to people about Anna Marie and Pseudotumor, and solicit donation. We need a real website, potentially for free (because we are broke). We need money to make team shirts for our athletes. It is our hope to get merchandise to sell, if that is where your talents are speak up. We also need corporate sponsorship, to help pay these associated costs. Training for a Marathon

Mark Dingess is training for a Marathon!! I will be running the Peachtree City Classic 15K (9.3 miles) in 3 weeks, the Atlanta Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon (13.1 miles) and hopefully all this will lead up to the Atlanta ING Marathon (26.2 miles) in March 2009.
